La Truite d'Argent is an adults-only mini-resort where you can completely unwind. Our cabanes and chalets are nestled in nature with absolute privacy - you won't see any other accommodations, only greenery and the beautiful Ardennes nature.

Since 1998, Bob and Henja have offered personal hospitality in "the last homely house." In the evening, you can enjoy local specialities in our intimate restaurant. It is small-scale, relaxed and perfect for couples who want to completely escape the daily hustle.

A weekend at our resort costs between €139 and €299 per night, depending on which accommodation you choose:

• Holiday Suite: €139 per night - cosy apartment in the inn
• Romantic Cabane: €189 per night - detached with private terrace
• Chalet Mont Juru: €199 per night - stunning views over the valley
• 4-Person Lodge: €299 per night - luxury and privacy

All prices are for 2 persons and include access to the estate, hiking trails, and our restaurant.

No, La Truite d'Argent is an adults-only resort. We focus entirely on couples seeking peace, privacy and romance. All guests must be 18 years or older.

Pets are not allowed for hygiene reasons. Placing an extra bed or bench is not possible.

Our restaurant is not an 'a la carte' restaurant and we serve a fixed, daily changing menu where you can choose between vegetarian and 'standard'. The menu will be emailed to you the week before arrival. If you have a food intolerance, it is useful to discuss this beforehand. However, if you have a food allergy, dining or having breakfast with us is not an option. It is impossible for us to use separate kitchen utensils or equipment to prevent (cross-)contamination by allergens. We do not want to risk an anaphylactic reaction.

Checking in or being received before 4:00 PM is not possible. We need all the time to prepare your accommodation, do shopping, carry out any maintenance inside/outside, or to spot wolves and dragons ourselves. If you want to arrive earlier to explore the forests, you can of course park your car in the car park opposite the Inn.

It is possible to arrive later by arrangement. You should check this with us before making your reservation.

No and Yes; All our accommodations are carefully and lovingly designed for 2 persons. Booking multiple accommodations (and perhaps moving furniture and cutlery around) to 'stay' together in one accommodation is something we do not allow. Our experience is that this always causes nuisance to other guests and our accommodations get worn out. In short, this is prohibited.

However... if you want to come with two couples, our Lodge is perfectly suited for this.

There is so much to discover, but you don't have to do it all! Many guests come specifically for the tranquility:

• Hiking: Direct access to nature trails from your accommodation
• Cycling: Beautiful routes through Nature Park Des Deux Ourthes
• Relaxing: Reading on your private terrace, listening to the silence
• Dining: Local specialities in our atmospheric restaurant

The real activity? Simply having nothing to do in the most beautiful nature of the Ardennes.

Yes. When you stay in a Cabane, you receive a starter supply of firewood with firelighters to start the first evening romantically. When this runs out, you can purchase a new supply from us (€8.50 per bag).

All accommodations are provided with soap/shampoo, bed linen, towels and kitchen towels. If you wish to replace the bed linen or towels after a few days, you can simply hand in the used ones and exchange them for clean linen. The cost for this is €10 per bed linen or towel set.

Our experience is that this approach limits water and energy consumption. This is how we contribute to protecting the environment.

Yes. In the communal car park there is the possibility to plug into a 220V, 16A socket with a kWh meter. You pay the current cost price for charging. Don't forget to bring your 220V converter.

We are located in the middle of nature, but easily accessible:

• Antwerp: 2 hours driving (180 km)
• Maastricht: 1 hour driving (90 km)
• Liege: 1 hour driving (60 km)
• Luxembourg City: 1 hour driving (70 km)

Every season has its own magic here:

• Autumn (September-November): Stunning autumn colours, cosy evenings by the fireplace
• Winter (December-February): Possible snow, ultimate cosy feeling, romantic by the fire

Many guests come specifically outside peak season - it is extra quiet then and you receive the full attention of Bob and Henja.

The easiest way to book is via our online reservation module. Bob or Henja will personally assist you and help you choose the perfect accommodation for your weekend.

We recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends and during autumn - our most beautiful period. If you have specific wishes (for example a special occasion), please let us know!

Almost everything. You only need to bring your own ingredients to prepare your meals.
